I am 26 years old, graduated as a mechanical engineer from National Institute of Technology, Silchar. I like travelling, exploring the world and doing things that I feel add value to the people and projects I work with. After having multiple parallel diverse journeys, I seem to identify myself as a creative problem solver.
In my creative journey, I wrote my first poem at the age of 14 and published my first fiction at 19. Penned two other full length fiction at age of 21 and 22, compiled an anthology and toured the entire country for creative writing workshops, speaking at festivals like that of Lucknow Literature Carnival and visiting many other esteemed colleges to speak on creative writing and entrepreneurship. I have ghostwritten and consulted for 20+ full length books and have experience of working with top corporate leaders, some of the biggest family-businesses’ owners, politicians and more.
In my entrepreneurial and management journey, I started my own small content writing agency from room number 7106 of National Institute of Technology at age 20 and came to Delhi in 2014 to partner with a bigger content agency, diversifying it to a digital, PR and events agency. Left it to do things on my own and went on to start The Big Green Tree – well supported by one of the previous employees I was fond of. During this period, designed creative and digital campaigns for multiple brands, ran campaigns for political candidates and parties and handled Pan India conferences of corporates.
In my journey in the development space, became volunteer of Harmless Hugs – a young LGBTQ collective. Helped in organising the first LGBTQ flashmob in Delhi and became the convener of first Delhi International Queer Theater and Film Festival. Got the organisation registered and assumed the position of President. Did second season of the festival and resigned. In between helped to register Youth LEAD India and assumed the position of CEO. Won the Leadership awards by India HIV/AIDS Alliance in 2016. Later worked with SCRUFF as their International Marketing Coordinator for India and organised first Bike Pride in the country. Also worked with International Commission of Jurists and supported them to organise a Judicial dialogue. And owing to the experience that I had from all this, ended up being the Program Manager for an Elton John AIDS Foundation funded program focussing on young urban MSM in India which accelerated my learning into management and strategy by leaps and bounds.
During all this, I am still working with various national and international, for-profit and not-for-profit organisations in domains of management, marketing and PR. Open for more interesting assignments as non-exclusive consultant.
